Dairy drinks are not as healthy and nutrient-packed as they are sold. They are actually made with reconstituted milk or whey, a dairy waste obtained in the process of making unsalted cheese. Because they have a sour taste, they are always combined with acidic artificial flavorings, colorings, sugar, thickeners (starch) and sweeteners (acesulfame K and/or sucralose), which will delight your child’s palate, but will NOT truly nourish him/her.
Choose better plain yogurt, mixed with fruit and vegetable milk of your choice.
